A new study authored by Dr. David Golding, Chair of the Division of Social Studies at Parami University, has been published in the European Educational Research Journal. It was co-authored by Kyle Kopsick of the University of Colorado Boulder.
The article is titled "The colonial governmentality of Cambridge Assessment International Education." It discusses Cambridge Assessment, a department of the University of Cambridge that was founded over 150 years ago to oversee education in British colonial territories. It is now present in about 10,000 schools worldwide. In this significant contribution to research on international education, Golding and Kopsick analyze how Cambridge Assessment perpetuates colonial inequalities of perceived authority and expertise.
