Parami University is committed to strengthening education systems and promoting equity in educational opportunities through international partnerships.

Bard College

Annandale-on-Hudson, New York

Bard College is an institutional partner of Parami University, since the time Parami operated in Burma (Myanmar). Bard College and Parami University have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to enter into a partnership to award dual Associate and Bachelors' degrees to students at Parami University, who fulfill all requirements set forth by Parami University and Bard College. The dual degree programs have been approved by the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE), the institutional accreditor of Bard College. Bard College has entered into such dual-degree arrangements with many international institutions, such as the American University of Central Asia in Kyrgyzstan, Al-Quds University in East Jerusalem, Bard College Berlin in Germany, etc. Partnership information from Bard can be seen Here.

Open Society University Network

Parami University is one of the participating institutional members in the Open Society University Network (OSUN). OSUN was founded by Bard College and Central European University. Currently, the Network has nearly fifty (50) higher education and research institutions. Because of this network, Parami University has many academic resources within its reach, in terms of grants and other collaborative opportunities.

In addition to offering our own education programs, the University’s staff and faculty dedicate their time and expertise to provide various services directly to community schools to augment their administrative systems, learning resources and education programs.

Library Resources

We share access to online databases and library resources with partner schools to supplement the education experience of their students and educators.

These resources include -

Over 9,000 textbooks across 950 topics through the Perlego online library
Journal articles and databases through the partnership with EIFL (Electronic Information for Libraries), which includes the Journal of Burma Studies, Oxford Journals Collection, Royal Society Journals Collection, and E-Duke Journals Scholarly Collection.

Organization Emails with Custom Domain

To ensure secure and professional electronic communications, we provide a suite of email accounts with a custom domain for the community schools free of charge. These personalized email accounts will not only bolster the school's professional image but also provide a secure channel for internal and external communication.

Our EdTech team provides technical services to community organizations that want to strengthen their IT and EdTech systems.

This user-friendly website enhances Cherry Myay Academy’s online presence and facilitates communication with potential students and donors.

Learning Management System

Leveraging open-source Learning Management System (LMS) solutions, we guide schools in setting up digital classrooms that enable the seamless integration of educational technology. By implementing these LMS platforms, community schools can empower their educators to deliver content efficiently, engage students in interactive learning experiences, and ultimately achieve enhanced learning outcomes.

Website Development

We also build custom websites for community schools to help enhance their online presence and accessibility. The website development services are designed to showcase each community school's unique identity and mission effectively. Through user-friendly interfaces and strategic content development, organizations better engage with domestic and international stakeholders and foster connections with students, parents, and the wider community.

English for Further Studies Program

Parami University's English for Further Studies (EFS) program is designed to empower students seeking university admissions and scholarships abroad. This 12-week online synchronous class is offered as additional coursework at interested community schools that want to provide their students with more hands-on training in academic English and university admission preparation. Parami University prepares the curriculum and provides an English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher to deliver the course in face-to-face online classes two times a week to the students at the community schools. In addition, participating schools also receive support for education technology and internet access from Parami.

By participating in the EFS program, students gain:

Enhanced academic writing skills: The program promotes students' writing abilities through various exercises and activities, preparing them to excel in academic writing tasks.

University application guidance: Students receive comprehensive guidance on navigating the university application process, including writing compelling essays and personal statements.

Scholarship preparation: The program equips students with the skills and knowledge required to compete effectively for scholarships and financial aid opportunities.

The course has been rolled out at four community organizations in Karenni, Mon, Taunggyi and Kachin states.

Some of our students have been applying for scholarships, and the EFS course is a great help for them in choosing universities, making decisions, and improving their academic skills. EFS gives academic and practical skills to our students.”
