Zali Win, Chair of Parami University Board of Trustees, delivered heart-warming opening remarks: "When Dr. Kyaw Moe Tun received the idea of Parmai University, the world was different. We hope to be able to welcome you in person to our new campus, where we would congregate and team together. Unfortunately, this is not possible at the present time. And we are forced to pivot to a new learning community like this. Our commitment to your education and successful completion of the Parami University curriculum remains our top priority. Each of you was selected to be a part of this incoming class because of your commitment to learning. We are excited to be a part of your journey.

Our keynote speaker, Dr. Jonathan Becker, Executive Vice President and Vice President for Academic Affairs of Bard College, talked about how the liberal arts education students receive from Parami will help them find their place in the world. "You are not simply students of Parami University; you are students of Bard College. When you do all your diligent work, we will someday be awarding you a Bard degree as an indication of the tremendous work that you have done. Our goal is not to have you repeat what we say but to have you learn how to post questions, to analyze. Through that, to become a critical thinker and a contributor to society. You are studying liberal arts education. Through this, you will understand your place in the world, and you are contributing to understanding others. And we really look forward to engaging with you over the next years. Welcome to Parami, welcome to Bard, and welcome to the OSUN family."

Dr. Kyaw Moe Tun, the President of Parami University, highlighted the core values Parami University upholds and how these values benefit students. "We are a global network of students, faculty, and staff, all working together for the values we cherish and embrace. From Parami University's perspective, you are the future leaders of your society, your country, and your community. That is what we believe in. As an educational institution with values such as academic freedom, intellectual leadership, compassionate service, and inspired leadership, we want you to become compassionate, inspirational, competent, and responsible leaders. That is what we wish to do. I am so glad that you are part of this journey. I say it with utmost sincerity and seriousness."

Dr. Phil Enns, the Dean of Academic Affairs of Parami University, further shared what the new students can expect from Parami and how they can thrive and open new opportunities during their studies. "We have been working hard to get ready for you. We have been working hard to make sure everything is ready so that when your classes begin, you will get the best possible education. The kind of program we have at Parami means that you have choices. You have options. You can choose which course to take in certain areas. So I'd like to challenge you to take risks to take a course that you might not be sure about. You might learn new things and the world that you have never thought about before."
