Parami University has signed a scholarship agreement with Daughters Rising in January to offer scholarship and/or stipend awards to Parami University undergraduate students for the academic year 2026–2027. The purpose of this agreement is to expand access to quality online higher education for displaced and underserved students by providing financial assistance.
Daughters Rising is a nonprofit organization dedicated to ending trafficking and violence against women by empowering at-risk girls through education, training programs, and scholarships. Grounded in a shared commitment to supporting youth in continuing their education, the Parami University Career Development Centre (PUCDC) connects students with meaningful scholarship opportunities that support their academic success.
This partnership outlines a collaboration to award scholarships to selected Parami University undergraduate students for the 2026-2027 academic year, primarily intended to support living expenses. Scholarship recipients will be selected through Daughters Rising’s established scholarship process, with priority given to students who are currently residing in or planning to relocate to Thailand.
“We believe that by creating as many opportunities as possible for these women and girls, we can help them become strong leaders and advocates. For this reason, we take a multifaceted approach to our work - Education, Employment and Outreach,” said Sandar Win, the Program Director of Daughters Rising, as the model of Chai Lai Orchid Foundation.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to empowering ethnic minority girls and supporting them with scholarship opportunities for undergraduate studies. “With a vision to empower Burmese and other Southeast Asian students through a liberal arts and sciences education, Parami started as Parami Institute of Liberal Arts and Sciences in 2017 to provide quality education to adult learners,” said Dr Kyaw Moe Tun, President of Parami University.
Through this partnership, Parami University and Daughters Rising aim to strengthen educational access and provide sustained financial support for students pursuing undergraduate studies.
