As a fresh start to the New Year, Parami University partnered with ThitsaWorks to help undergraduate students not only build academic strength but also develop professional paths. This strategic partnership aims to strengthen career development opportunities for Parami students across Myanmar.
ThitsaWorks is an award-winning fintech company accredited by the Singapore Fintech Association and headquartered in Singapore. The company provides core banking, payment, and credit information solutions that help financial institutions grow responsibly and improve financial inclusion. In addition, the Parami University Career Development Center (PUCDC) is designed to connect students with meaningful internships and scholarship opportunities and serve as a platform for building long-term networks across diverse industries.
This partnership opens pathways for internships and potential job opportunities, giving the students real-world experience and exposure. Besides, the collaboration focuses on expanding the students’ access to professional skills training, talk series, thematic workshops, specialized bootcamps and mentorship programs through the experts from ThitsaWorks organization in the Fintech Industry.
“We believe poverty can be solved and that if the underbanked have access to capital, they are more empowered to, better able to retain the returns of their labor and rise out of poverty,” mentioned U Nyi Nyein Aye, the Founder of ThitsaWorks organization, as the mission of starting ThitsaWorks’ data-driven platforms that enable institutions to make better credit decisions while expanding access to financial literacy, information, and financial products for underserved communities.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to empower young people and connect them with career opportunities. The partnership provides ThitsaWorks with opportunities to contribute to youth development through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)-aligned programming and to engage with a pool of English-speaking, globally oriented candidates.
