How do you envision the role of Graduate Advisors evolving as we strengthen our support system for students? This question guided our latest effort to build a more supportive academic environment. On Saturday, August 9, 2025, the Parami University Career Development Center (PUCDC) hosted a productive onboarding session with three of our Graduate Advisors.
To ensure that students at Parami University receive well-rounded support as they prepare for both academic and professional pathways, we invited three graduate advisors, Khin Chit Win, Andrew Wai Phyo Kyaw, and Moh Moh Nay Wynn, who are exceptional academic experts in diverse fields.
Khin Chit Win is a Senior Research Analyst specializing in governance, gender, education, and humanitarian initiatives in Myanmar. Secondly, Andrew Wai Phyo Kyaw holds a Ph.D. in International Development Studies from Chulalongkorn University. His thesis examines the complex relationship between legal literacy, legal empowerment, and protection outcomes among urban refugees and asylum seekers in Thailand, with a particular focus on the National Screening Mechanism (NSM) established in 2019. Finally, Moh Moh Nay Wynn is a community engagement and research practitioner with over four years of experience supporting inclusive community development initiatives in Myanmar.
During the session, the PUCDC team shared an overview of Parami’s mission and the diverse initiatives currently shaping student experiences from global learning programs to civic engagement opportunities. Advisors were also introduced to the center’s upcoming plans, including professional development workshops, internship placements, and international program proposals such as the 2025 Environmental Sustainability and Disaster Preparedness Program in Taiwan.
The advisors offered valuable perspectives on how they can contribute to guiding students in areas such as career exploration, graduate school preparation, and leadership development. Together, the team and advisors discussed ways to expand opportunities for students, strengthen mentorship structures, and ensure that career development is aligned with both global standards and the local context.
This collaboration marks an important step in expanding the support system available to Parami students. By combining the expertise of Graduate Advisors with PUCDC’s ongoing initiatives, we aim to empower our students to become leaders who can bridge local challenges with global opportunities.
PUCDC looks forward to working closely with the advisors throughout the academic year, continuing to provide transformative opportunities that prepare our students for meaningful careers and lifelong impact.
