On May 8, 2026, the Parami University Career Development Center (PUCDC) will host the institution's first-ever Virtual Career Fair to support students in their transition from campus to career. This event comes at a pivotal moment, as this June marks a historic milestone for Parami University: the graduation of its first-ever undergraduate cohort, the Class of 2026.

The career fair was designed to bridge the gap between campus and career by connecting our third and fourth-year students with industry leaders and impactful employment pathways. Featuring approximately 12 organizations from diverse sectors, the fair offers students direct access to employers through curated presentations, interactive Q&As, and networking sessions.

Zin Myo Kyaw, Assistant Development Manager of Parami University’s Career Development Center, shared that after returning to the university upon completing his graduate program, he remains committed to carrying forward the initiatives he pledged through the Staff Mobility Program, with particular focus on strengthening the Career Development Center. Although he was not involved in the CDC’s earliest stage, he said he has come to see it as a meaningful platform that enables Parami students to connect with employers, organizations, and broader professional opportunities.

“I am truly proud to be part of this important initiative and to contribute as a team member within an online university that expands access and opportunity for students,” he said.

A key strength of the Virtual Career Fair 2026 is its comprehensive preparation model.  In collaboration with the Language and Learning Center (L&LC) team, students participate in capacity-building and career-readiness workshops, ranging from CV development to the Elevator Pitch Competition, designed to sharpen their professional communication. These preparatory workshops are intended to ensure that participants are not only informed but also strategically positioned to engage with employers in a professional and confident manner.

The PUCDC team is actively engaging in systematic employer outreach to bridge the gap between student aspirations and industry. “By aligning interests with available roles, we ensure the Virtual Career Fair is both highly relevant and efficient for all participants,” said Zin Myo Kyaw. Based on responses to the student interest survey we conducted, the majority of our students are highly interested in the education sector, followed by the business and private sectors, NGOs, IT, and the communications and media field.

The Virtual Career Fair 2026 is an integrated career development initiative that combines student preparation, employer engagement, and professional follow-through. The program provides students with a structured pathway to the workforce, helping them gain clarity on their career options, while offering employers a direct way to identify new talent. By aligning student capabilities with industry opportunities, this initiative serves as a practical link that helps participants navigate the current job market.
