Aung Chit Thae Ko selected as Scam Ready Mover to promote digital safety across ASEAN

Aung Chit Thae Ko, a Parami student from the Class of 2028, has been selected as a Scam Ready Mover for the Be Scam Ready Campaign, a four-month regional program under Scam Ready ASEAN, led by the ASEAN Foundation and Google.org.

The program runs from August to November 2026 and aims to raise awareness of online scams and promote digital safety across ASEAN communities. As a Scam Ready Mover, Aung Chit Thae Ko will organize awareness sessions and create educational social media content to help people better understand online risks and learn how to stay safe in the digital world.

For the 2026 cohort, 23 participants from across ASEAN were selected to be Scam Ready Movers, representing Indonesia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Myanmar, Cambodia, Singapore, and Timor-Leste. Aung Chit Thae Ko is one of only two representatives from Myanmar selected for this regional program.

Through this opportunity, Aung Chit Thae Ko will represent Parami University and contribute to efforts to build safer, more informed digital communities.

As part of the program, Aung Chit Thae Ko will coordinate with Scam Ready ASEAN to create campaign content for social media and lead monthly awareness sessions for the Myanmar community. Scam Ready Movers will also be recognized based on their community outreach, with awards given to those who successfully engage a wider audience through their awareness efforts.
