Dr. Kyaw Moe Tun, President of Parami University, gave a talk as a panelist at the NYSEAN Conference on Intellectual Freedom in Southeast Asia and the United States, a hybrid event held at New York University, where he talked about authoritarianism and threats to academic freedom.

Faculty, students, and staff from Parami University presented their papers at the Taiwan Southeast Asian Studies conference in Taichung.

I had the chance to present my initiative, Back to the Farm: A Mental Health Journey for Internally Displaced Chin Girls. Sharing this idea in such a space reminded me that youth voices matter, even in policymaking circles.

The internship also took me across the United States—visiting Washington, D.C., New York, and California. Experiencing these different cultural, social, and professional environments expanded my perspective.
