On August 15, 2025, the Parami University Career Development Center (PUCDC) held the third session of its Career Talk Series, featuring guest speaker May Htet Hlaing, Internal Operations Manager at Yever. With more than ten years of experience in human resources and operations across both the non-profit and private sectors, May provided students with practical and candid insights into the challenges young professionals often encounter as they transition into the workforce.
In her talk titled “The Unspoken Realities of Professional Life,” May highlighted the importance of qualities that extend beyond technical competencies. She emphasized adaptability, communication, and credibility-building as areas that significantly shape early career success. Drawing from her own professional journey, she discussed common obstacles fresh graduates face—including managing expectations, responding to feedback, and navigating diverse organizational cultures.
Students responded enthusiastically to her openness and practical advice, which underscored the need for both academic preparation and personal readiness when stepping into a professional environment. A lively Q&A session allowed participants to further explore topics around workplace dynamics and career readiness.
PUCDC expressed its appreciation to May Htet Hlaing for her time and valuable contributions, and looks forward to continued collaboration with Yever in strengthening career development opportunities for Parami students.
