On May 8, 2026, the Parami University Career Development Center (PUCDC) successfully hosted the first-ever Virtual Career Fair, a moment of honor in the institution’s commitment to students’ career connections and professional development. The event reached a remarkable milestone for the university, as the Class of 202, the first cohort of Parami’s undergraduates, prepared to become Parami University’s first-ever graduating cohort this coming June.

With a comprehensive approach that integrates the virtual campus and professional networking, the virtual career fair connected third- and final-year students with 14 organizations across sectors such as education, consulting, agriculture, entrepreneurship, the environment, financial technology, and more. Through employers’ presentations, interactive Q&A sessions, and networking opportunities, the students engaged directly with industry professionals and explored their future career pathways.

In his opening remarks, President of Parami University, Dr. Kyaw Moe Tun, emphasized the transformative power of higher education in developing impactful, ethical leaders. He highlighted that, while students are hardworking and competent, they require support from external organizations and businesses to realize their full potential. He also acknowledged that this is the university's first virtual career fair and expressed excitement about the mutual benefits for both students and employers.

"Higher education opens many doors for greater impact than any that you can see. But in that journey, our students cannot prosper alone. They really need organizations, companies, and businesses that will help them to be able to see their future potential." — Dr. Kyaw Moe Tun.

Following the opening, Ko Zin Myo Kyaw, Assistant Development Manager from the PUCDC, provided an overview of the center’s mission, emphasizing its role as a vital bridge between a student’s academic journey and their professional career. To support this transition, the center provides comprehensive services including resume workshops, internship placements, and a mentorship program that connects students with professionals from around the globe. While the PUCDC serves the broader university community, this specific fair is designed to highlight senior students from the classes of 2026 and 2027.

One noticeable strength of the virtual career fair 2026 was its preparation model for the students’ engagement and professional growth. In collaboration with the Language and Learning Center (L&LC), students participated in a series of career-readiness workshops before the event, including CV-writing workshops and elevator pitch competitions. The PUCDC team also ensured employer outreach and student interest assessment phases.

Director of Institutional Advancement Ma Phoo Pwint Thiri Khine, who leads the PUCDC team, closed the event by celebrating the successful launch of Parami University’s first Virtual Career Fair — a milestone made possible through more than a year of coordination and preparation by the PUCDC team. She congratulated the Class of 2026 and encouraged students to make full use of the university’s online career resources to turn today’s connections into future job opportunities. She emphasized that the event marks the beginning of an ongoing professional dialogue, with plans already underway for the 2027 Virtual Career Fair.

Following the event, the students and participating organizations shared positive feedback, highlighting the event’s organization, professionalism, and informative nature.

“It was a really well-organized and very informative session. Kudos to the team and everyone involved,” said Pone Nyet Aung, Class of 2026.

“Thank PU team, for letting us participate in your virtual career fair 2026. Our ONOW team has an amazing time. Big congratulations to all graduating students,” said the Director of People Operations at ONOW, Ma Khine Pwint.

The feedback reflected the event’s success in creating a meaningful platform for students and employers to connect, exchange insights, and explore future career opportunities in a supportive and engaging environment.

The success of the Parami University Virtual Career Fair 2026 reflects the institution's growing efforts to create a practical, student-centered pathway to employment and professional development. With ongoing support for career preparation and employer engagement, the initiative demonstrated how online higher education institutions can proactively connect students with real-world settings and help them navigate confident early careers in an increasingly competitive job market.
