PLP alum to impact founder: Danny's entrepreneurial journey
What happens when a commitment to community service grows into something bigger?
For Danny, a Parami Leadership Program (PLP) alumnus from the 3rd Cohort, it became Impact Oasis—a platform he is building to connect social impact organizations, community initiatives, and individuals with opportunities, partnerships, and resources. The idea grew out of his experience working on small-scale community development projects. His recent LinkedIn post sheds light on the idea and background behind Impact Oasis. The platform grew out of Danny’s experience in Southeast Asia’s development sector and his observation that organizations, funders, and potential partners often exist but struggle to find one another.
Impact Oasis aims to create a structured discovery network where they can find opportunities, share their work, and connect. While many organizations are creating meaningful change, they often struggle to access the networks, partnerships, and funding they need to grow their impact.
From PLP to Giving Back
For Danny, staying connected to Parami is not about recognition or visibility. It is about the people and experiences that shaped him.
“The people we are working with motivate me to stay connected and give back to Parami,” he says.
He describes Parami as a turning point in his personal and professional development, giving him valuable skills, connections, and opportunities.
“Without Parami, I wouldn’t be who I am today, doing what I am doing now, or exposed to an amazing network,” he says. “It has transformed me.”
Since graduating, Danny has continued to contribute to the Parami community by mentoring students, guiding them on career paths, and returning as a guest speaker and lecturer for PICE.
Building Connections for Impact
Impact Oasis grew from Danny’s desire to make it easier for people and organizations working toward social impact to find one another.
The platform aims to help users discover relevant partnerships, opportunities, and resources, creating connections that can turn individual efforts into collective action.
The demo has been tested and is currently in its refinement phase. Impact Oasis opens to selected partners for early access on 1 October 2026, ahead of a wider public announcement later in the year. Parami University is also exploring how the platform could support alumni engagement through future group and cohort-based features.

For Danny, the journey from PLP to founding Impact Oasis reflects how experiences and relationships can continue to shape what alumni do long after graduation.
Small Contributions, Shared Impact
Danny believes giving back does not have to be a major financial contribution or a large-scale initiative.
“Sometimes, when we think about contribution, we often think about big contributions and financial contributions. It does not have to be big,” he says. “Just a small opportunity like sharing an opportunity with [your] network also counts as a contribution.”
His message to fellow alumni is simple: contribute where you can, stay connected, and grow together. “Give back regardless of how small it is," he said. "Don’t lose hope! There are also people in your surroundings who are willing to support you. Contribute and grow together as a community.”
For Danny, the impact of a Parami education continues through the connections we build, the opportunities we share, and the communities we help strengthen.
