Dr. Elena Nikolova appointed as Associate Editor of Journal Gender, Technology and Development

Dr. Elena Nikolova, a full-time faculty member of Social Science and Humanities at Parami University, has been appointed as Associate Editor of the journal Gender, Technology and Development (Q2), which is hosted by the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok.
Dr. Nikolov joined Parami University in January 2025 as a full-time faculty member. She is teaching classes such as Introduction to Macroeconomics and Behavioral Economics this fall semester.
Dr. Elena Nikolova received her Ph.D. from Princeton University in 2011 and her undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College in the United States. She has published widely on gender economics, labor, social and economic development, entrepreneurship, political economy, economic history, comparative politics and democratization, as well as the politics and economics of development and transition. She has conducted policy work for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), World Bank, International Monetary Fund (IMF), Council of Europe Development Bank, United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), African Development Bank (AfDB), European Commission, and United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (UN ESCWA). Her work has covered Eastern Europe, Asia, and Africa.
