Dr. Dan Wessner appointed Director of University Partnerships and Engagement

Parami University is pleased to announce that, effective February 1, 2026, Dr. Dan Wessner, a full-time faculty member, has been appointed as Director of University Partnerships and Engagement. In this additional role, Dr. Wessner will support the e University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen academic collaboration, expand international engagement, and create meaningful opportunities for its academic community.

"As Parami University ensures academic excellence for its growing student body, so too our current students and graduates are cultivating cultural, academic, and professional relations across Asia ... and beyond.  I am very pleased to facilitate that process," said Dr. Dan Wessner, a full-time professor in the Division of Social Science and Humanities at Parami University. 

In his new role, Dr. Wessner will lead initiatives to build and sustain partnerships with external academic institutions and relevant organizations. These partnerships are intended to enhance student learning experiences, support faculty development, and contribute to the long-term institutional growth of Parami University.

Dr. Wessner’s responsibilities include engaging in discussions with local, regional, and international partners; designing and implementing activities and programs that support academic collaboration; and representing Parami University at international conferences, workshops, and academic forums. Through these efforts, he will help increase the University’s global visibility and strengthen its connections within the international higher education community.

In addition, Dr. Wessner will manage and strategically utilize an annual budget allocated for partnership and engagement activities, ensuring that resources are effectively directed toward initiatives that align with the University’s mission and strategic priorities.

This appointment reflects Parami University’s commitment to fostering strong academic networks and promoting international engagement. Through Dr. Wessner’s leadership, the University anticipates the development of new collaborative programs, expanded academic and professional opportunities, and increased international exposure for students, as well as enhanced opportunities for faculty and staff to engage in global academic networks.
