Roundtable Discussion: Youth and AI in Education and Beyond

ree

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly shaping how young people learn, communicate, and prepare for their futures. From generating ideas to supporting research, AI tools like ChatGPT have become everyday companions for students. Yet, as these technologies bring convenience and creativity, they also pose challenges—from misinformation and bias to ethical dilemmas and overdependence. Following recent global discussions sparked by the misuse of AI, the need for responsible and informed engagement has never been more urgent.

Aiming to empower students and youth to use AI thoughtfully—balancing innovation with ethics, awareness, and critical thinking, Parami University is hosting a roundtable discussion, “Youth and AI in Education and Beyond: Learning to Use Technology Responsibly and Effectively,” where faculty, students, and experts from the Statistics and Data Science (SDS) program and an expert from Parami Edtech team will unpack how AI is reshaping education, career preparation, and everyday life.

The event will be conducted in Burmese and feature engaging discussions on the opportunities and risks of AI tools like ChatGPT, practical guidance on prompt writing and AI-assisted career skills, and insights into the future of emerging technologies—from Generative AI to Agentic AI. This roundtable discussion is open to students, educators, and anyone curious about the evolving role of AI. Event Details:
