Parami University has partnered with Wedu to provide undergraduate students with internships that offer hands-on experience in the development sector. This collaboration connects academic learning with real-world leadership.

Parami University is a private, nonprofit, accredited higher education institution dedicated to providing quality education for displaced and conflict-affected youth from Myanmar. Wedu is a non-profit organization supporting women leaders in South and Southeast Asia with leadership development, education funding, and a community to build a world where half of all leaders are women.

Through this dynamic partnership, the Parami University Career Development Center connects students with inspiring internships in advocacy and gender equality through Wedu’s programs. The program further empowers students to build lasting networks with women advocates, changemakers, and entrepreneurs.

This partnership opens pathways to internships and jobs, along with access to skill-building trainings and mentorship by Wedu’s community of women leaders.

Rani Pramesti, Wedu’s Executive Director, shares, “We are proud to partner with Parami University around a shared vision for inclusive leadership. Parami’s commitment to nurturing young change-makers through accessible, high-quality education aligns closely with Wedu’s work to expand leadership pathways for emerging women leaders across South and Southeast Asia. Through this collaboration, Wedu will engage up to six interns each year, linking learning with real-world leadership practice.”

“I feel that education will focus on cross-boundary knowledge and skills, including critical thinking, interpersonal skills, and communication skills. There is a need for collaboration between industry leaders and traditional universities to prepare for the future,” said Dr. Kyaw Moe Tun, President of Parami University.

Through this partnership, Parami University and Wedu aim to expand career pathways and provide meaningful internship opportunities for undergraduate students, while fostering professional networks with women advocates, changemakers, and entrepreneurs in the Wedu community.
