Parami University has partnered with ONOW to offer undergraduate students internships that offer practical, hands-on experience. The collaboration bridges academic growth and experiential learning in real-world settings.

ONOW is an entrepreneurship development system in Myanmar that seeks to reduce poverty by providing business training, financial capabilities, coaching, and digital support tools to Myanmar’s young entrepreneurs, especially female migrant women.

Through this strategic partnership, the Parami University Career Development Center connects students with impactful internships in business and community development, supported by ONOW’s training, mentorship, and support. The program supports students through practical skills and experiential learning to build confidence, leadership, and social impact.

This collaboration opens clear pathways to internships and jobs in nurturing the next generation of innovators and impact-driven leaders who will continue to build resilient communities across Myanmar. Students will gain real-world field experience, exposure to ongoing development projects, and insight into the challenges and opportunities facing entrepreneurs and business owners. In addition, the partnership expands access to training and workshops led by ONOW specialists in entrepreneur leadership development.

“At ONOW, we value partnerships that truly invest in people’s growth and potential. Our collaboration with Parami University reflects this shared commitment, creating meaningful pathways for young people to move from learning into real-world impact. Through this partnership, we have seen students bring dedication, curiosity, and purpose into their work, while gaining practical experience that shapes their professional journeys. It is inspiring to witness learning translate into action. We are grateful to Parami University for their trust and collaboration. Together, we are nurturing future leaders and growing with purpose.” — May Thinzar Aung, Managing Director of ONOW.

“Two-thirds of today’s job positions will disappear a decade from now. In this age of smartphones, the real challenge of this century is not whether we have technological access to the right information. It is about having intellectual access to the right information, and we need to make sure that our youth have these skills and that they remain relevant for the next five years, and for the next twenty, thirty, and forty years. We need to engage with educational institutions to shape the next generation of thinkers and doers. There is a need for collaboration between industry leaders and traditional universities to prepare for the future.” — Dr. Kyaw Moe Tun, President of Parami University.

Through this partnership, Parami University and ONOW aim to expand career pathways and provide meaningful internship opportunities for undergraduate students in the business development sector, while fostering professional networks with entrepreneurs and business owners engaged in SMEs and enterprises across Myanmar.
