Academic Advisor Alex visits Parami students at Kakuma refugee camp

On October 7th, our Academic Advisor, Alex, had the privilege to visit four of our students who live in the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya. They spent three hours chatting about life, school, and many other topics, such as which company they would become the CEO of for one month. They also played UNO, carrying a favorite tradition from many Parami students! Alex was also able to meet her advisee, the first student studying in Africa and part of the Class of 2027, for lunch in Nairobi later on in the week.

In our digital community, these rare in-person moments are extra special, and this visit was a great reminder of how education transcends borders and provides opportunities across many circumstances.
