On June 10, 2025, the air was filled with cheers, hugs, and happy tears as Parami University's Class of 2027 gathered at the Mercure Hotel in Chiang Mai for a day they will never forget. For over 70 graduates, this milestone marked the end of a transformative chapter and the beginning of many more.
Pride and excitement hung in the air as graduates, clad in their flowing gowns, came together with their families to celebrate a long-awaited milestone. While many graduates celebrated in person, others—including the university's President, Dr. Kyaw Moe Tun—joined the ceremony online. From across the world, guests, supporters, and fellow graduates tuned in virtually, their faces lighting up screens, proving that distance could not dim the shared joy of this remarkable achievement.
A Moment of Reflection and Ambition
Dr. Kyaw Moe Tun, President of Parami University, delivered a heartfelt address that struck a chord with everyone in the room. He urged graduates to carry their dreams with them beyond the classroom.
"Think about your hopes and dreams," he said. "Aspire higher, dream bigger, and reach deeper. When we leave this world, let us all leave a meaningful footprint." His words were a reminder that the Parami journey doesn't end with a diploma; it continues with purpose, service, and lifelong learning.

Dean's Life Lessons Inspire Parami Graduates
Dr. Phil Enns, Dean of Academic Affairs, spoke from the heart, sharing lessons shaped by his own journey. He reminded the graduates that small things, like paying attention to details and being open to feedback, sometimes make the biggest difference.
"Learning to take feedback and improve your work isn't just something you do for grades," he told the Class of 2027. "It's something that will keep helping you, again and again, in life and work."
What some might overlook as just habits, Dr. Enns called quiet strengths - noticing the little things and having the humility to grow. His words were simple but powerful, offering a guide to keep learning and moving forward, no matter where life leads.

More Than a Ceremony: Celebration of Growth
Graduation day was filled with joy, but also a touch of nostalgia.
"This isn't just a graduation. It's a celebration of the community that helped shape me," said May Lawoon Lwin, a graduate of the Philosophy, Politics, and Economics program. All around her, families waved their hands, friends clapped and cheered, and proud parents captured every smile on camera.
Every name called on stage sparked cheers from classmates. It was more than a ceremony; it was a reunion of hearts, a moment to reflect on how far they'd come and look ahead to what's next.
Voice of Parents

Phyo Thiha Aung, a graduate of the Class of 2027 with a major in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics at Parami University, was among those celebrated at the ceremony.
His mother shared her thoughts on the occasion: "On behalf of my son and all of today's graduates, as well as all their parents. I am truly overjoyed. Words cannot fully express how happy I am."
A Celebration of Resilience and Achievement at Parami University
Students at Parami University come from diverse backgrounds, each with unique financial circumstances and personal challenges. Families and individuals alike face their own struggles and hardships. On June 10, their perseverance was rewarded, a day of resilience, of not giving up.
This milestone will remain unforgettable for the graduates. Faculty members, academic advisors, and Parami staff, who had journeyed alongside them through each academic year, celebrated wholeheartedly, sharing the joy of their success.
The ceremony was also a moment to acknowledge the invaluable and unwavering support of the Board of Trustees, donors, supporters, and partner organizations, whose contributions made this day possible. Their presence was marked by brighter smiles, louder applause, and eyes gleaming with pride as they continued to commit to the graduates' futures.
Couldn't Be There?
Those who were unable to attend the ceremony can still experience every memorable moment—from the opening remarks to the final group photo—on Parami University's YouTube channel.
To the Class of 2027: The World Awaits
As this inspiring group of graduates completes their associate journey, they leave with more than a diploma—lasting friendships, meaningful memories, and a deepening sense of purpose. With the solid foundation they have built, they are now ready to take the next step toward earning their bachelor's degrees, where they can further explore their potential.
Parami University launched its undergraduate degree programs in June 2022, offering two online degrees: BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics (PPE) and BA in Statistics and Data Science (SDS). It held its inaugural Commencement Ceremony in June last year at the exact location, celebrating the Associate Degree graduates from the Class of 2026 who will receive their bachelor’s degrees next year. Parami University is now home to 200 undergraduates and expects to welcome more students in the coming Fall semester.
