Lian Bawi Thang

Lian Bawi Thang is a Ph.D. candidate in Political Science at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. He holds an MSc in International Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, and a Master of Arts in International Development Studies from Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.

Kyaw Hsan Hlaing is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Government at Cornell University. He studies comparative politics and international relations, with a focus on revolution, movement, regime change, violence, political culture, democratic backsliding, authoritarianism, and rebel politics.
