Parami will administer the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test for Students who cannot submit high school scripts or equivalent. For English proficiency scores, if a student cannot submit to TOEFL or IELTS, Parami University will administer our own test. To prepare for Parami’s English proficiency test, students may study for the IELTS as the Parami’s English test will be similar in content to IELTS.
-
Are there any application fees to apply to the Parami Degree Program? For the 2025-2026 academic year, there is no application fee.
-
Can I take another exam besides IELTS, TOEFL to prove my English Proficiency?Yes, we also accept duolingo.
-
Am I too old to begin college from the first year?Typically, students complete high school at the age of 18 globally. They may choose to go to college right after high school or take one or two gap years to pursue other interests. If you are in your early 20s, it is the perfect time to begin your undergraduate journey. As an institution that seeks diverse students from various backgrounds, we also encourage those who have not obtained their bachelor’s degree to apply regardless of their age.
-
Can I transfer credit hours if I have attended other universities before?Unfortunately, Parami cannot accept transfer credits at the moment. All admitted students will be placed in the first year class.
-
What do I need to prepare for acceptance to the Parami University’s undergraduate programs?Applicants who wish to apply for undergraduate programs at Parami to enroll in the fall of 2023 must finish their secondary education in the summer of 2023 (by June 2023). Those who already have bachelor’s degrees are ineligible to apply. Students should also have an intermediate level of English proficiency at a minimum. For those who wish to sit for the Parami entrance exam in lieu of submitting a high school diploma, they should attend admission information sessions to learn about the exam format and subjects.
-
What are the class times? Are there self-paced learning options? The instruction hours are between 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM Indochina Time Zone (ICT). Class times will differ depending on the classes each student picks each semester. There is no self-paced learning option for the undergraduate degree programs. Although classes are offered online, Parami University believes that genuine learning in a university setting occurs when faculty and students actively engage in class discussion, activities, and materials. This forms the basis of the university policy that all Parami University courses in the undergraduate programs will be synchronous, i.e. teacher and students will be engaging at the same time for a set amount of time as prescribed by credit hour requirements. Discussions are the primary mode of learning at the University, and students are expected to spend equal amounts of in-class hours participating in classroom discussions as in the traditional classrooms.
-
What degree or major does Parami University offer?Parami University offers online four-year bachelor’s degree programs: Philosophy, Politics, & Economics (PPE) and Statistics and Data Science (SDS). Students will learn through liberal arts and sciences education that emphasizes critical thinking and interdisciplinary learning across the fields of arts, science, social science and humanities. For our undergraduate program, students will also choose majors to specialize in, in addition to pursuing general education in liberal arts. After completing the first two years of their study at Parami, students will obtain an associate degree and complete their four-year study to obtain a bachelor's degree in PPE or SDS.
-
Which platforms does Parami use for classes? How do we attend the class? As BA programs will be offered online, Parami uses Canvas Learning Management System as a learning platform and the classes are held via Zoom meeting. In addition, Padlet and H5P are integrated into Canvas to make learning at Parami even more interactive and engaging.
-
Can I attend the undergraduate degree program part-time?Although it is an online program, Parami offers synchronous learning with fixed class times in contrast to self-paced learning offered by other online learning platforms. Students will have to take a minimum of 12 credits per semester to graduate from the undergraduate degree programs in 4-years. This amounts to a minimum 36 hours of academically engagement per week that includes face-to-face instructional hours with the faculty and independent study hours. Due to the rigorous nature of the academic program, fixed class times, and the time commitment required for studying, we expect students to enroll full-time in the program. Some students may choose to work part-time, but we do not recommend that it exceeds 10-15 hours per week.
-
Are there extracurricular activities?Yes, Parami University offers a variety of academic and extracurricular services. Please visit "Student Services" section here for more details.

Parami will offer full or partial scholarships to students with demonstrated financial need.
-
Will I have access to the course materials online?Yes, students will have access to the class materials and related assignments online. Parami is currently using Canvas LMS as the main learning and teaching portal for students and instructors. In addition, students and teachers will have access to world- class electronic databases and journals as well as to textbook resources online at Parami University.
-
If Parami University is non-profit, why is Parami charging tuition fees?A non-profit university means that all the surplus revenue (if any) will always be reinvested into the university, rather than being divided among owners or shareholders as in a for-profit entity. In this structure, Parami University does not have any owner or shareholder. Parami University sets tuition fees to cover the expenses of qualified faculty members, operating staff, facilities, and other costs. For example, if it costs 10,000 USD per year to operate Parami University to pay for faculty members, facilities, and staff, we typically may seek to raise 4,000 USD from tuition income, whereas the rest 6,000 USD is covered by donors to Parami University.
-
