Application Form
Applicants will have to fill out information related to personal and education background, and financial information in the application form in the Apply Portal.
Personal statement (300-500 words)
A personal statement is essentially an essay about the applicant, highlighting a significant part of the applicant such as his/her unique qualities, academic skills, ambitions and passions, or community service experience. Applicants must write an essay on“Reflect on a significant personal experience that has shaped your academic interests and career aspirations. How has this experience influenced your decision to pursue your proposed major or a liberal arts education at Parami?” with a minimum of 300 words to a maximum of 500 words.
Supplemental essay (300-500 words)
Applicants must submit a supplemental essay that allows the admissions committee to learn more about the applicants’ contributions to their community and the reason for choosing a specific study of their undergraduate studies. Moreover, it demonstrates the applicants’ critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Applicants must write an essay on “Describe a specific challenge or issue you are passionate about addressing in your community or country. How will pursuing your proposed major or a liberal arts education at Parami University prepare you with the knowledge and skills needed to tackle this issue? Provide specific reasons and examples to support your points” with a minimum of 300 words to a maximum of 500 words.
High school transcript (or equivalent, if available)
Parami University accepts high school transcripts from various education systems and institutions. The University may contact the schools directly to understand the transcripts and the education experience of the students better.
If the applicant is unable to show a high school transcript, the applicant may submit high school equivalent certificates such as GED, TASC, HiSET, or Cambridge International AS & A certificates.
Applicants who do not have high school transcripts or equivalents and/or English proficiency test scores will have to take Parami-approved entrance tests online free of charge. Please check detailed information on the Apply portal.
English proficiency test score(s), if available
Applicants are required to submit proof of English proficiency since all classes are conducted in English and the academic rigor demands excellent verbal and written English skills. Applicants may submit internationally accepted test scores such as TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo. Those who do not have these test scores may take the University proctored English proficiency test online free of charge.
Standardized test score(s), if any
Applicants who have taken standardized tests such as Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) may submit such scores to support their academic performance. However, these test scores are optional.
Other relevant certificate(s), if any
You may also submit any relevant certificate you have earned.
Financial aid form & required documents
Submit all required forms and documents to apply for financial aid.
Two recommendation letters
The University will ask the applicant’s recommenders to submit a recommendation letter in support of the application. The recommendation letter should talk about various aspects of the applicant such as academic performance, extracurricular activities, community leadership, or good character. Include contact information for the recommenders.
Among two recommenders, one recommender must be an academic recommender such as the applicant’s teachers, academic advisors, academic tutors, etc. Another recommender can be either the academic recommender or anyone else who can provide the recommendation, such as team leaders, volunteer supervisors, or community leaders. However, the applicant’s immediate family members are ineligible as recommenders due to conflict of interest.
Video of study desk & family introduction at home (no longer than 2 minutes)
The applicant has to create a two-minute video introducing the admissions team to the study desk. In the video, please include a family member or guardian and introduce them to the Parami Admissions Team. The applicant's desk does not need to be fancy, but as an online institution, the admissions team is interested in seeing where the applicant plans to do academic work as a prospective student. Make sure the video shows the applicant's surroundings clearly.
