Breaking boundaries through SOGIE

Aiming to promote diversity, inclusion, and equality, Parami University will host a public event on August 26, 2024, to introduce the concepts of sexual orientation, gender identity, and gender expression (SOGIE). Titled “Breaking Boundaries through SOGIE,” the event will raise awareness of diverse identities and advocate for a community where all members can thrive regardless of gender, race, or socioeconomic background.

Our guest speaker Phyo Thit Luu is a passionate advocate for LGBT rights in Myanmar. Phyo Thit Luu has been actively involved in the LGBT rights movement since 2008, working as a SOGIE and LGBT Rights Trainer. He also serves as an Advisory Board Member of the LGBT Rights Network and consults for LGBT youth groups. His experience in human rights, gender equality, and inclusion awareness makes him a powerful voice for creating inclusive spaces where everyone is valued.

This event is dedicated to anyone interested in understanding more about SOGIE and working on projects that promote diversity and inclusion. It also aims to create positive change, expand participants’ knowledge, and build a happy social environment.

Please note that the event will be delivered in Burmese.
