Dwight Clark Cross-Cultural Program

Tokyo, Japan

Twelve Parami University students are currently in Tokyo participating in the two-week Dwight Clark Cross-Cultural Program, held from May 24 to June 5, 2026. The program is a collaboration between Parami University, International Christian University (ICU), Japan ICU Foundation (JICUF), and Volunteers in Asia (VIA).

As part of their learning experience, students at International Christian University (ICU) in Japan have participated in a series of lectures and discussions on education, community engagement, ethics, and social responsibility. Through conversations with distinguished scholars, students have engaged with diverse academic perspectives and deepened their understanding of global and local challenges through cross-cultural exchange.

These sessions highlight the importance of critical thinking, respectful dialogue, and interdisciplinary learning—core elements of a liberal arts education.

Over the two-week program, students will continue to participate in academic exchanges and cultural immersion activities, gaining new perspectives, strengthening intercultural understanding, and exploring what leadership looks like beyond their own borders. For many participants, this also marks their first international learning experience.
