Noor

Faculty of Social Science and Humanities

Noor is a Ph.D. candidate at UC Berkeley in the Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics. Her primary fields of interest are development, public finance, and political economics. Her research is motivated primarily by policy. Her current work explores: how to optimize the structure of large-scale cash transfer programs in the presence of strategic behavior in developing countries; and estimates the extent to which private industry money impacts congressional voting and buys policy influence in the United States. Prior to joining the UC Berkeley community, she studied economics and mathematics at Smith College. She worked as a research analyst at Innovations for Poverty Action.
