Max van Wijk

Faculty of Mathematics and Science

Max van Wijk is a healthcare consultant at IQVIA, the Netherlands, where he is part of the department of Real World Evidence (RWE), Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR), and Market Access & Pricing. He holds an M.Sc. in Infectious Diseases and One Health from the Université de Tours (France), the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (Spain), and the University of Edinburgh (United Kingdom). Born and raised in the Netherlands, he studied at Utrecht University for his bachelor’s degree in Molecular Life Sciences. Van Wijk has strong connections with research institutes and organizations around the world. Currently, he is collaborating with the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) and the World Health Organization (WHO) on projects related to antimicrobial resistance. He is also a visiting faculty member at Parami University in Myanmar, where he develops and teaches courses in public health and infectious diseases to (under)graduate students. Before joining IQVIA, he worked with the Center for Disease Dynamics, Economics and Policy (CDDEP) and the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) on health policy and the epidemiology of antimicrobial resistance.
