Dr. Winmar Way
Incoming Dean of Academic Affairs
Dr. Winmar Way completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Harvard College, along with a Language Citation in French. She holds an M.A. in International and Comparative Education from Stanford University and a Ph.D. in Social Sciences and Comparative Education from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). Dr. Way began her career as the founding Head of School for an online and blended-learning secondary school, where she helped build and expand programs across multiple campuses in the United States and internationally. She later joined the Southern California University of Health Sciences, where she oversaw academic programs, supported accreditation efforts, managed operating budgets, and led initiatives in admissions and marketing to support enrollment growth and new program development. Her work centers on building academically rigorous programs that respond to the evolving needs of students and institutions. Her academic and professional interests are deeply informed by her early experiences growing up in Yangon, Myanmar and by her research on refugee education, including how resettled refugees navigate access to resources and build pathways to stability and belonging.
