Dr. Olusola (Shola) Ololade

Dr. Olusola (Shola) Ololade is an environmental scientist, sustainability scholar, and educator whose teaching and research focus on environmental sustainability, climate change, integrated water resources management, and the Water-Energy-Food (WEF) Nexus. She earned her Ph.D. in Environmental Management from the University of Johannesburg and an M.Sc. in Environmental Science from the University of the Witwatersrand in South Africa. Her interdisciplinary research integrates environmental policy, climate adaptation and mitigation, water security, pollution assessment, nature-based solutions, and geospatial technologies to address complex sustainability challenges.

Dr. Ololade is currently Professor of Environmental Studies and Sustainability at Parami University, Adjunct Global Campus Instructor at the University of Arizona Global Campus (Science foundation) and Research Associate at the University of the Free State. She previously served as Acting Director and Associate Professor at the University of the Free State and has held visiting appointments at the University of San Diego and San Diego State University. She has published extensively in Leading environmental journals, secured competitive research funding, and actively mentors graduate students and early-career researchers while contributing to international scientific societies and editorial boards.
