Dr. James Batcho

Dr. James Batcho studied continental philosophy at The European Graduate School (EGS) (Ph.D.), media and cultural studies at San Francisco State University (SFSU) (M.A.) and journalism and philosophy at San José State University (SJSU) (B.A.). His scholarship in "audibility" traces a genealogy of hearing and listening with an aim toward exploring their contemporary creative and political possibilities. He has taught at universities in the USA, South Korea, China and Taiwan.. He is the author of several books and peer-reviewed essays on cinema, aesthetics, politics, and ancient philosophy.
