Dr. Dale Mineshima-Lowe

Dr. Dale Mineshima-Lowe has taught a range of politics, history, human and environmental geography courses previously. She holds degrees in Politics (Ph.D. from the University of Durham, UK), European Political & Economic Integration (Durham University, MA), Legal Studies (Durham University, Diploma), Psychology (Santa Clara University, USA, BSc with a Minor in Political Science), and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (Adult/Further Education). In addition to teaching at Parami, she is a visiting lecturer on Climate Change & Environmental Hazards (MSc GES at Birkbeck, University of London). Dale’s research interests focus on democratic transitions and governance issues and her current research examines the developing area of data activism – in particular, of how civic organizations are using digital technologies to engage citizens in combating corruption and environmental issues. She is also the Managing Editor for the Center of International Relations - a think tank based in Washington, D.C., and was named an IWT-CLASP Fellow (2021- 2023).
